Watching TV re WWI
Watching TV re WWI I saw men just loving to rush around doing violence and then plaster each other all over with gold stars and badges. They wore stupid stupid hats with spikes on top.
At one point whole divisions gorged themselves on food and liquor and failed to press an attack. Then the men got so tired they didn't even care if they got killed. Then the Red Baron got shot down and for some reason the British gave him a nice funeral--after he'd shot down 80 of their planes.
Then the Americans came with tons of more violence--just raring to fight.
Then I decided I don't really give a rat's ass about any of it and went upstairs to bed.
